Okay, this is completely off the knitting subject but I just had to share.

My youngest, Elizabeth was over at her dads house and as she was headed outside to play, let him know that she was going outside.  Her step brother, D, who is sitting in front of the t.v. pipes up and says…”G.F.Y.”  immediately my oldest, Renae and her dad look at each other in an almost speechless way and share the same thought…did he just say “go eff yourself?”  So her dad then turns to D and asks him what GFY means.  With the most innocent face a 10 year old can give he says “good for you”.  I bet he’s glad he meant good for you and not the other one…lol.

In knitting new…I am still working on my St. Brigid.  I’ve finished the back and am working on the first sleeve.  I also took a small break and completed a “thermis” it’s a cowl, for my youngest, Elizabeth.  She loves it!  And since it’s FREEZING here, I’m making me a pair of mittens real quick so my hands don’t freeze off.  BRRRRRrr!!!  I’ll have pics soon.  Thermis is up on my rav page if you want to take a peek.  Until next time, stay warm!

December Already?

Wow!  Christmas is right around the corner.  Hard to believe another year is nearly over.  Looking back, this year has been a busy one.  My girls are growing like crazy and becoming beautiful young ladies.   I am truely blessed to have such great girls.    Hopefully in the year to come, we will be able to take a “real” vacation and go somewhere.  I haven’t been anywhere in a LONG time, and I’m sure my girls would enjoy it too.

Thanksgiving weekend I took my girls to see The Christmas Carol on stage.  I hope they liked it.  I remember going when I was young and always wanted to take them.  Just happened that this year was the year to go.  Soon we will be going to the Zoo Lights with some of my family.  Hopefully, I’ll remember to take my camera.  Especially since I completely forgot about taking it with me to The Christmas Carol.  Darnit!

I’m sorry I don’t have any pictures to share.  I have been busy.  Soon I will share some pictures of my St. Brigid that I’ve been working on.  Unlike most of the world, I don’t do Christmas knitting.  My family isn’t into the “handmade” thing.  Sound weird when I say it outloud…but it’s true.  Oh well.  Just gives me more time to knit what I want.

If I don’t get back on here for a while…Happy Holidays!
