Been busy, but not much going on…

Yes, I know it’s been a long while since I’ve last blogged and in that time I have been busy.  Just busy in general.  No one thing has kept me occupied.  Being a single mother of 2 girls is tiring enough at times all by itself.  My oldest, Renae, is in 8th grade this year.  Which means, prepping for high school and making lots of 8th grade memories.  This year is the trip to Washington D.C with her class.  She is so excited to be going.  On top of that, we have band competition with a trip to Cedar Point, the 8th grade formal, and then marching band practice during this summer with a trip to band camp.  And she still managed to squeeze softball in there too.  I still can’t believe next year I will have a freshman in high school…sniff, sniff.  And let’s not forget about her younger sister Elizabeth.  She’s in 5th grade this year and is a good kid.  There aren’t many things offered when your in 5th grade so she is in rec league softball with her sister.  I am hoping sports are gonna be her thing.  So far so good.  I’ve just one reminder for you all.  Enjoy the time you have with your kids…they grow up sooooo fast!!!

As far as knitting goes…Yes, I have been knitting.  I actually finished my shawl.  It is currently hanging up at Heavenly Creations for all to see.  Here is a picture of it.

My Lace Leaf Shawl

This was when it was up on my styrofoam board, blocking.  It’s prettier in person.  I am also doing a mitered square blanket from the Mason Dixon book and have it all mapped out.  It’s up on my Ravelry if you want to take a peek.  No two squares are the same.  They may consist of the same colors just not in the same orders.  But for now, I have set that aside to finish a baby blanket that Miss Tonia and I are working on together as a gift for a co-worker.  I can’t wait to get it done!  I’ll post pics soon after of my FO’s.

Till next time.
